Speaker: Dr. Kirsten Roling, DDS; Public Health Dentist and Chief Education Officer, Dental CE Academy
Dr. Roling completed dental school training at the University of California, San Francisco; during the height of the HIV/AIDS Pandemic. She is credited as an early pioneer of teledentistry. Her clinical practice spans pediatrics to geriatrics. Previously an Assistant Clinical Professor, UCSF; and Public Health Preceptor, Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, Dr. Roling also held the position as Chief for the Office of Oral Health, Maricopa County, Department of Public Health where she administed the nation's largest pediatric and maternal oral health prevention programs for the third largest U.S. public health department. As a mobile dental provider, she commanded a large teledentistry practice to treat homebound geriatric patients. She is a recipient of the Pediatric Oral Health Access Program (POHAP) scholarship and provided dental services pro bono to at risk infants and foster children. She has completed certification through the American Dental Education Association in conjunction with the Academy of Academy Leadership and Institute for Allied Health Educators "Advances in Educational Methodology." In 2017 she was published in the Journal of Public Health Dentistry, and in 2018 interviewed on National Public Radio concerning the challenges of geriatric oral health care.
